Creamy Chicken Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 cans (10-3/4 oz. each) cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 container (12-oz.) small curd creamed cottage cheese
  • 3 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350*F.
  2. Spray bottom and sides of a 13x9x2“ baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Cook and drain noodles as directed on pkg.
  4. While noodles are cooking.
  5. Melt butter in 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook bell pepper and onion in butter stirring until crisp-tender. Remove form the heat.
  7. Stir in milk, soup, basil and pepper.
  8. Place 4 noodles in baking dish.
  9. Top with about 1 cup of the soup mixture.
  10. Half the cottage cheese, 1-1/2 cups chicken, 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/3 cup cheddar cheese.
  11. Repeat layers once, starting with noodles.
  12. Place remaining 4 noodles over the top.
  13. Top with remaining soup mixture, mozzarella and Cheddar cheese
  14. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  15. Bake uncovered until bubbly and hot in the center.
  16. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
