Lazy Ravioli

Ingredients

  • 10 oz Frozen chopped spinach,
  • 1 c Grated part-skim mozzarella
  • 8 Lasagne noodles, broken in
  • 7 1/2 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 ts Dried sweet basil
  • 1 tb Beef bouillon powder
  • 1 tb Salt
  • Cooking oil (optional)
  • 1 c Hot water
  • 4 qt Boiling water
  • 5 1/2 oz Tomato paste
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 1 1/2 c Onions chopped
  • 1/3 c Dry bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 ts Parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 c Coarsely chopped fresh
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced (or 1/4
  • 1 tb Parsley flakes
  • 1 c Grated medium or sharp
  • 1/8 ts Garlic salt
  • 3/4 ts Granulated sugar
  • 1 Large egg, fork-beaten
  • 1 1/2 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1/4 ts Dried whole oregano
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Dried thyme
  • 1/8 ts Ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Scramble-fry ground beef, onion, mushrooms and garlic in large non-stick frying pan until beef is no longer pink. Drain. Return to frying pan. Add next 11 ingredients. Stir. Bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, until thickened. Combine next 7 ingredients in small bowl. Mix. Cook noodles in boiling water, second amount of salt and cooking oil for 14 to 16 minutes until tender but firm. Drain. Rinse with cold water. Drain well. Arrange layers in ungreased 4 quart casserole or small roaster as follows: 1. 1/2 of beef mixture : 2. 1/2 of noodles : 3. All of spinach mixture : 4. 1/2 of noodles : 5. 1/2 of beef mixture : 6. All of mozzarella cheese Cover. Bake in 350F oven for about 45 minutes.
